Personal Journey
Aashi Upavan began as a personal journey fueled by my deep-rooted passion for environmental stewardship. What started as a simple project quickly evolved into a movement dedicated to soil conservation by leveraging sustainable farming practices and afforestation to improve biodiversity. Over the past three years, this initiative has grown into a collective effort to create meaningful environmental impact, and it has shaped both my vision for the future and my belief in the power of grassroots change.
Our Goal
At Aashi Upavan, our core goal is to promote sustainable soil practices and biodiversity while improving green cover. We have worked alongside farmers and volunteers, conducting orientations and workshops on how to use simple, low-cost methods to foster environmental sustainability. One of our key innovations is the development of a makeshift bio-digester, which can be built for as little as $25 and produces bio-organic fertilizer from cow dung and organic waste. This fertilizer plays a vital role in enhancing soil biodiversity and supporting farmers in maintaining healthy, nutrient-rich soils.
Plantation Drives
distributing saplings and seed balls to communities and encouraging the planting of indigenous trees. In the past three years, our direct efforts have resulted in the planting of over 10,000 trees, contributing to both soil conservation and carbon sequestration. In addition, we’ve educated farmers on the importance of sustainable farming, helping them adopt eco-friendly practices that not only protect their land but also improve yields.
